By day, they are government workers, computer analysts and lawyers. After 7 p.m., this league of men and women morph into quasi-superheroes. At Primal Fitness’s Parkour Boot Camp in Washington D.C., gym short-clad participants cat-leap on to 8-foot boxes with the ease of lemurs.

When runners sprain ankles or want to increase their speed, they pay large sums of money for expert advice.  But at the St. Agnes Hospital’s 3rd Annual Running Clinic in Baltimore, Md., the expert opinions are free. Those wanting to learn about injury prevention, nutrition, and running techniques can speak to the experts one-on-one at the fair, August 16, 2008.

Physicians, nutritionists and trainers interact with attendees to give the runners an edge in performance.  Attendees can also find the perfect shoe or monitor their respiratory systems while perusing through the vendors.  Physicians and nutritionists cater advice for both the beginner and the veteran runner.

Attendees can choose one of three sessions. Sessions are at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Guest speaker Keion Carpenter, former safety of the Atlanta Falcons, will discuss a variety of health topics.  A question-and-answer session is included during the session.

To register for a free session, call 866-690-9355.
